Calibra -95...onko kone C vai X-sarjaa??
Helppo tunnistaa moottorinnumerosta lohkon etupuolella. Oliko vielä niin, ettei C25XE:ssä ole noita EGR-putkistoja, nehän löytyy ainakin tuosta äksästä niin ikään näkösällä tuossa koneen etupuolella.

Calibra V6 History
Year V6 Manufactured:
Oct 1993 "L" to Aug1998 "R"
some late registered on "S" plate (rare)
Engine Configuration:
V6 24 valve unit with two overhead camshafts per cylinder bank. Alloy cylinder heads, hydraulic tappets, electric cooling fan, booster cooling fan (ac), alternator cooling fan, oil/water heat exchanger located in cylinder "V". Main mechanical water pump, auxiliary electric water pump. Main toothed cam belt (also drives oil pump) Ancillary ribbed v-belt drives alternator, water pump, power steering and air con comp.
Engine Management:
Bosch Motronic M2.8 'learning' system. Sequential port fuel injection with air mass metering and dual spray injector valves. Computer controlled direct ignition system with dual spark coils and selective knock control.
Emission Control:
Electronically controlled Secondary air injection. Activated charcoal evaporation control canister. Single lambda sensor and three way, closed loop, metallic monolith catalytic converter.
Safety Systems:
ABS + switchable Traction Control
Twin airbags
Twin side impact bars and front/rear crumple zones

some useless V6 facts:
The C25XE engines were built in the UK. Calibra V6's were mostly assembled in Finland - at Valmet Automotive car factory in Uusikaupunki.
Some late model V6's used a few Vectra V6 parts here and there (including brakes and on rare occasions (starting in December 1996) an X25XE Vectra V6 short block engine. No real difference other than the X25XE block runs with a higher oil pressure due to using a larger diameter oil pump rotor. The oil pathways are larger in the X25XE block; this is intended to support the new flat based tappets (less noisy on start up) in Vectra heads. However as all V6 Calibra's use the same heads (regardless of block type) these benefits are not seen.
ECOTEC is a marketing term and stands for "Economy, Ecology and Technology. In the case of the V6 C25XE engine all the manufacturer effectively did was stick 'Ecotec' on the engine cover mid 1995 (engine cover also changed colour from red to black). A secondary air injection system was also added to the Ecotec.
For the 2.0l 16v engines this issue was more complex and involved engine design changes which handicapped its' peak bhp. Hence the term 'weak-o-tec' and the preference for the 'red top' 16v engine.
