Opel Club Finland (OCF)

I think that car is the Zakspeed kadett that Opel have at Russelheim, it is definately not Mike Endean's car which is kept in the Channel Isles, Guernsey..The paintwork is different, there are no additional lights fitted to the roof and also there is no air scoop fitted to the bonnet. We have had the Astra 4s from Luton on our club stand at Billing in 2008.

On monday I went to see the Vauxhall Astra 4S at the Heritage centre to get some measurements and pictures.These will help me when I start to build mine..

First we took it to pieces



The car hasnt been started up for 3 years now and was last driven hard in 2003 at the Shelsey Walsh hillclimb which is a shame. The heritage centre dont have any spares for the car except for a set of original alloy wheels..

Ei ole vaan se on juurikin se Zakspeed (Ford) moottori,tuo on jakohihnalla ja Ascona/Manta 400 kone on ketjulla,imu ja pakosarjay on myöskin toisin päin eli 400 moottorissa pakosarja on oikealla ja tuossa TM:n jutussa olevassa moottorissa se on vasemmalla.

Tuon viimeisten kuvien Vauxhallin kone on 400 pohjainen.
