I own a 81' Opel Kadett with a 1.3N engine.

In the beginning of this year was the carburetor (Solex 35PDSI 9276953) renewed and I have since then the problem to adjust the carburetor so that the car runns smoothly by itself with idle.

I want to learn how to properly do that (what I have been doing wrong) and am looking for someone who can help me adjuting the carburetor and choke so that the car's idle is again smooth and constant.

Start by turning idle mixture screw to bottom. Then open it 1,5 turns. Start engine and try to find "sweet spot" by adjusting mix screw.

thank you for your reply. I have been trying that and with that setting I have the issue that the car wont run without choke, even though the engine is warm and with carefully adjustment of the screw. What could be the reason? :/

Idle jet is too small. For modern fuel you need bigger

May I ask where it is located?

That one with one wire, it is electrically actuated to prevent backwards running after shutdown.
