Tuloilmakanavissa, mittaa sisääntulevan ilman lämpötilaa. Perinteistä sisälämpötila-anturia ei ole.

Miten ihmeessä sisälämpötila voi pysyä säädettynä jos vain sisään tulevaa ilmaa mitataan? Vai säädetäänkö sisään tulevan ilman lämpötila ja puhalluksen voimakkuus pyydetyn lämpötilan ja ulkolämpötilan mukaan? Kyseessä siis automaatti-ilmastointi.

Tarkoitin tuloilmakanavilla siis lämppärilta kabiiniin tulevia ilmakanavia. Automaatti-ilmastoinnin lämpötilaa säädetään heuristisesti, matemaattisen energiatasapainomallin, ulkolämpötilan ja auringon lämpösäteilyn avulla.

Intelligent: Climate Control with Calculated Temperatures
The heating and ventilation systems in the innovative Vectra work with great efficiency. The manual air conditioning system, for example, has a refrigerant compressor with variable displacement. This is between five and one hundred percent, depending on the set cooling capacity, and therefore helps save fuel.
The dual-zone ECC (Electronic Climate Control) with Air Quality Sensor provides an interior climate that remains stable even under changing conditions. The ECC settings are always shown at the bottom of the menu display. The most frequently used functions can be adjusted via the controls, others less often used via the menu display. The multiply-patented climate control is based on the calculations of a mathematical energy balance model instead of the usual principle of temperature measurement and adjustment. With this it is possible to prevent disturbances – like the heat radiation from the audio system – causing measuring and control errors. And if the vehicle has stopped, the system automatically monitors the environmental conditions and outside temperature. These parameters are used to work out the action required by the climate control system to ensure that the settings selected independently by the driver and front-seat passenger are maintained. It also ensures that drinks in the glovebox stay cool.
