Waterpump change with pictures. For enginetypes A12XEL/A12XER and A14XEL/A14XER. (Opel / Vauxhall)

Changed waterpump to my mom's car and decided to document the operation for others to use.

Irroita ilmansuodattimen kotelo. / Take off the air filter box.
Kuva2. Tunkkaa ensin auton oikea puoli ylös ja tue auto pukilla. / Picture 2. Jack the car's right side up and support with a stand.
Kuva 3. Irroita auton oikea eturengas. / Picture 3. Take off the front right tyre.
Kuva 4. Tue auton moottori altapäin tunkilla (äkä nosta moottoria vielä). / Picture 4. Support the engine below with Jack (don't lift the engine yet).
Kuva 5. Irroita muovinen moottorin suojus. / Picture 5. Take off the plastic engine cover below car.
Kuva 6. Löysää moottorinkannakkeen pultteja ja nosta hieman moottoria. / Picture 6. Loosen the engine support bolts a bit and lift the engine lightly.
Kuva 7. Irroita moottorinkannatin kokonaan (2 osainen). Moottoria täytyy nostaa mahdollisimman ylös jotta ylimmät pultit voi irroittaa. Vastaavasti alinta pulttia varten moottoria täytyy laskea mahdollisimman alas. / Picture 7. Take off the engine support totally (consists 2 parts). For the 2 top bolt you have to raise the engine to the max and for the lowest bolt you have to lower the engine.
Kuva 8. Löysää hihnankiristintä vääntämällä sitä myötäpäivään. Irroita moniurahihna. / Picture 8. Loosen the aux.belt tensioner by turning it clockwise. Take off the belt.
Kuva 9. Irroita vesipumpun hihnapyörä. / Picture 9. Take off the pulley from waterpump.
Kuva 10. Irroita vesipumpun letkut ja irroita vesipumppu. / Picture 10. Take off the hoses from waterpump and take off the pump.
Kuva 11. Tarkista, että irroitit myös tiivisteen! / Picture 11. Be sure to check that you took off the gasket!
Kuva 12. Puhdista tiivistepinnat. / Picture 12. Clean the surfaces for gasket.
Kuva 13. Irroita termostaattikotelo vanhasta pumpusta ja kiinnitä se uuteen (huom. uusi tiiviste!) / Picture 13. Take off the thermostat housing from the old pump and attach it to the new pump (remember gasket!)
Kuva 14. Laitoin kaikki pultit valmiiksi pumpun reikiin ja lisäsin tiivisteen. Vasta sitten kiinnitin autoon. / Picture 14. I assembled the pump with bolts and gasket outside the car. Then I bolted it to the car.
Kiristä pumpun pultit! Tighten the pump bolts!
Kuva 15. Kiinnitä letkut, hihnapyörä ja apulaitehihna (vaihda uuteen) / Picture 15. Attach hoses, belt pulley and aux. belt (new one).
Kuva 16. Kiinnitä moottorinkannake. / Attach the engine support.
Kiinnitä ilmansuodattimen kotelo. Vaihdoin samalla suodattimen. Attach the air filter box. I changed the filter also.
Tarkista jäähdytinnesteen määrä ja lisää tarvittaessa. Check the amount of cooling fluid and add if needed.
Samaan vaivaan kannattaa vaihtaa uusi apulaitehihna ja moottorin ilmansuodatin. I prefer that you change the aux. belt for new one.
Kiinnitä moottorinsuojus ja rengas. Attach the engine cover (below) and tyre.
Poista pukki auton alta. Tarkista ettei auton alle jäänyt mitään. Jack the car and take off the stand. Check that nothing is left under the car.
